Sheet Mask Update!

Masking is an important part of my daily skin care regimen and I always love to try new masks.  These are a few of the sheet masks that I've recently used!
Whamisa Organic Seeds and Rice Fermented Hydrogel Facial Mask with Lactobacillus
~ Sheet masks are continuously evolving and incorporating new ingredients and technology.  Hydrogel masks are made of a gel material that is better able to adhere to the skin, thus allowing the moisture and nutrients to be most effectively absorbed.
~ This mask claims to lift, soothe, and have anti-aging benefits for the skin.
~ This mask contains fermented seeds, black soybean, and rice, which moisturize and calm the skin.  It comes in two pieces - the first piece covers your forehead, nose, and eye area, with the second piece covering your lower cheeks and around your mouth.  Apply this mask for 20-30 minutes.
~ This mask has an herbal scent, which I actually found to be quite relaxing, almost like aromatherapy.  The hydrogel material makes the pieces of this mask a little more difficult to handle - the hydrogel is more slippery and also more delicate than the usual cotton sheet masks are.  The hydrogel material does allow this mask to adhere firmly to your skin and has a refreshing, cooling sensation when applied.  The serum absorbs very, very well.  After using this mask, my skin felt more plump and moisturized, and was noticeably tighter and lifted.  I highly recommend this product and have already repurchased it!

Ges Gep Preparing Mask
~ This sheet mask was developed by two of Korea's top makeup artists, Son Daesik and Park Taeyun, and claims to smooth your skin and prepare it for makeup to be applied effortlessly.
~ This bamboo sheet mask contains pearl powder, hyaluronic acid, olive fruit oil, orange oil, and grapefruit peel oil that work to smooth the texture of the skin.
~ After cleansing and toning, apply this mask for 15-20 minutes, patting in excess essence until absorbed.
~ This mask has a very refreshing citrus scent.  It is one of the softest sheet masks that I've ever used - it feels very luxurious.  This mask adheres to your skin very well and is soaked in a milky essence.  Each packet contains a lot of essence, which you can also use on your neck and chest.  After using this mask, my skin felt moisturized and looked brighter, however unfortunately the essence left my skin feeling very sticky.  Even after trying to pat in the excess essence and waiting around 15-20 minutes, my skin still had a sticky residue.  I would not recommend applying makeup over this product, however would consider using it as a night-time treatment.  While still a good product, with all of the great sheet masks out there, I likely will not repurchase this one.

Blossom Jeju White Camellia Soombi Brightening Petal Mask
~ Many masks are now incorporating multiple steps - some with sheet masks packaged in combination with cleansers, exfoliators, and oils.  This is a two step mask.  In the first step, you apply a small amount of 100% pure Jeju camellia oil all over your face.  This camellia oil is a powerful antioxidant that contains Omegas 3 and 6, along with fatty acids and polyphenols that prepare your skin to best absorb the essence contained in the second step, which is the sheet mask.  This sheet mask is soaked in an essence that contains vitamin E, pearl extract, sesame seed extract, licorice root extract, and blueberry extract, which help to brighten your skin and fight hyper-pigmentation.
~  First apply the oil, followed by the sheet mask for 20 minutes.  Before starting, open both the oil packet and the sheet mask packet - opening the sheet mask packet once you have the camellia oil on your hands is quite a challenge!
~  This mask has a very strong floral scent - I really enjoyed the smell, however if you don't like heavily scented products, this may not be for you.  After using this mask, my skin felt very plump and appeared brighter.  The essence absorbed very well into the skin, however there was still a small amount of an oily residue.  I used this mask before sleeping, in combination with my usual moisturizer, and woke up with my skin feeling very moisturized and looking more radiant.  I will definitely be repurchasing this mask!
