Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel

My favorite exfoliation product is the Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel.  I first heard about this product in a 2016 In-Style magazine article featuring the beauty products used by the former Girls Generation member and K-pop artist, Tiffany, who has absolutely beautiful skin.  After also reading stellar online reviews (4.7 out of 5 stars from more than 1000 reviews on Sephora.com), I had to try it and have been using it ever since.



The Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel is a powder that is activated when it comes into contact with water.  It contains papain, which is a papaya-based enzyme that exfoliates the skin, as well as antioxidant-rich green tea extract and calming allantoin.  The packaging of this product is great as it dispenses an appropriate amount of powder with each use, preventing you from pouring out too much product at a time.  After cleansing your skin, invert the bottle and a pre-measured amount of powder is released.  Add a small amount of water, then use your hands to work the product into a lather, and massage into your skin for 30 to 45 seconds.  This product feels so creamy and luxurious as you massage it into your skin -  it is very gentle but very effective and does not feel abrasive like some physical exfoliants that contain large beads or particles.  After rinsing it off, this enzyme peel leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and smooth.  It has helped to clear out my often congested pores, smooth out the dry patches on my cheeks and around my mouth, and brighten my complexion.  Since it comes in a powder formulation, this product is convenient for traveling.  This enzyme peel is gentle enough to be used daily, however as I alternate it with several other exfoliation products, I use it about two to three times per week and one bottle of this product goes a very long way.  I have and will continue to repurchase this product.  This is available for $60 for 70g at Sephora.com.

AHAs and BHAs, which are Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Beta Hydroxy Acids respectively, are very effective chemical exfoliants for your skin.  AHAs and BHAs help to smooth skin texture, brighten dull skin, and reduce the appearance of dark spots and fine lines.
